Two Minor Boys Meet Watery Grave In Odisha’s Nuapada

Nuapada: In a tragic incident, two minor boys drowned while taking bath in a pond in Chanora village under Sinapali police station limits in Odisha’s Nuapada district on Thursday.

The deceased have been identified as Brushabh Bandichhor (10) and Amit Bandhichhor (6).

According to reports, the incident occurred on Thursday evening when the two boys returned from school and entered the village pond to take a bath. They slipped into the deep waters of the pond and drowned.

Later, the family members and other villagers pulled the boys out of the pond in critical condition. They were rushed to the Sinapali Community Health Centre where the doctors declared them brought dead.

On being informed, a team from the Sinapali police reached the spot and started a probe into the incident. A case of unnatural death has been registered in this connection.

Meanwhile, the villagers have demanded compensation for the kin of the deceased. A pall of gloom descended on the village after the incident.
