Sambalpur: As many as 22 first-year MBBS students of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla in Sambalpur district have tested positive for Covid-19. Reportedly, the students had developed symptoms of Covid-19 post the annual function UTKARASH-2021 at VIMSAR. They underwent Antigen test at the hospital on Monday and the reports came out positive. India Reports 7,579 New Covid Cases, Lowest In 543 Days

Bhubaneswar: India in the last 24 hours has reported 7,579 new cases of Covid-19, the lowest in the last 543 days, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Tuesday. As per the data released by the Union Health Ministry, 12,202 more persons recovered from the disease while 236 succumbed to it in the last 24 hours. The total number of recoveries in the country has reached 3,39,46,749 and the death toll has reached 4,66,147. The active caseload stands at 1,13,584, the lowest in the last 536 days.
